Life is a great big canvas, and you should throw all the paint you can on it. - Danny Kaye

About THE FAMILY JEWELL

Being a newlywed for only a few short months, I have gone through a number of lifestyle changes in a short amount of time.  From a "single gal" life of living on my own and running around on 'my time', I have had an awakening to (1) coordinating work and play schedules, (2) attempting to make nightly dinners, (3) saving money, and above all else (4) becoming less selfish.  Marriage has been a blessing thus far...I don't want you to think I'm having difficulties taking on the "challenges of marriage" but moreso it's a new, inspiring leap into my "new life"...sorry, enough with the quotation marks...it's how I "express myself".

So with a new husband, a child at home (our three year old Maltese Zoe) and trying to keep up with the ever-changing real estate development market (aka: work), I'm facing decisions that I never thought I'd face before..."TO BE OR NOT TO BE"...my life on the road of family, career & self-discovery!

This blog may become (or so I hope) a place where I can record things that move me, people who interest me, things that ground me, pictures that have meaning, things I find tasty and/or fabulous, and maybe even some things I'm in love with or obsessed over (David & Zoe).  Either way, I hope it's a place I enjoy coming back to day after day and maybe you will, too.  After all, "it's all in la familia"!
